Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Sequels We Can’t Wait To Get

November 18, 2014 by Jaime Leave a Comment

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome and wonderful people over at The Broke and The Bookish
This week we are looking at sequels… If you’re like me, you have a love/hate relationship with series books!  I love the stories that can’t be contained in a single book, but the waiting involved to find out what happens next… well sometimes it feels like it’s going to kill me!

Here are our series books that we’re dying to get our greedy hands on!

The Boy Most Likely To – Huntley Fitzpatrick

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18392495-the-boy-most-likely-to?ac=1
So basically, if you know me at all, I’ve been waiting for this book since I turned the last page of My Life Next Door… and though I’m not sure if it is actually considered a sequel or a companion, I don’t honestly care. I simply want more of this story, more of Mrs. Fitzpatrick’s words, and more Tim. (and if Jase just happens to be there then all the better!)
Invaded – Melissa Landers

I’m so damn excited to see what happens in book 2 here – I was surprised at how much I loved Alienated… nothing against it obviously, but it’s not my typical read, but I adored the progression of the story and the ending… yeah, that’s part of the reason I need to get Invaded in my hands asap!

Ignite – Sara B. Larson

We know there are mixed feeling about this book, but honestly, we loved the plot and the story and we’re super excited to see what happens in book 2.  We even tried to bribe Sara for a copy… alas you can see we failed.

The Vanishing Throne – Elizabeth May

I DEVOURED THE FALCONER… I read it on the way to BEA this year and I seriously couldn’t put it down.  I read it on the flight, I read it in the taxi on the way to the hotel and then I parked my butt on the bed in the hotel refusing to go anywhere until I finished. This series has everything I love and I am so damn excited to read book 2!

Miss Mayhem – Rachel Hawkins

You guys!! I loved Rebel Belle, and I have all the jealousy for anyone who has this second book already.  I absolutely love Rachel Hawkins writing and I’m so excited to get my hands on this one!

Salt & Stone – Victoria Scott

I loved, loved Fire & Flood.  If you haven’t read book 1 yet, get on it because it’s got some amazing and different characters that you won’t be able to help but fall in love with! I’m incredibly excited to see what Scott does here in book 2.

Fairest – Marissa Meyer
Fairest (The Lunar Chronicles, #3.5)

AHHH – I have been waiting for this book for what feels like forever.  The second this cover was released I became even more excited to read.  This series has some of my favorite characters and I admit…if it had a cover and full description, I would probably have Winter (book 4) in this list too!

The Heart of Betrayal – Mary E. Pearson
The Heart of Betrayal (The Remnant Chronicles, #2)

You GUYS!!!  Kiss of Deception had me turning pages and trying to guess all the things while I was reading and I would go back and forth after every chapter about who was who…and how I wanted everything to go. As Kiss of Deception ended, all I could think about was…how am I going to wait another year until I get to read what happens next. I’m patiently waiting to get my hands on an ARC of this (July isn’t that far off…right?).  If you haven’t read book one, get on it and be prepared to want book two as much as I do.

End of Days – Susan Ee
End of Days (Penryn & the End of Days, #3)

I’m pretty sure that I fangirled (extensively) in my review for World After (book two) of this series and I can’t wait to see what happens next for Penryn and Raffe.  That’s it – I don’t have much else to say about it because honestly, that says it all.

Trust Me – Romily Bernard
Trust Me (Find Me, #3)

If you are unaware of my love for the Find Me series by Romily Bernard…you need to go read my reviews of Find Me (book one) and Remember Me (book two) and you will know exactly why I can’t wait for this book. Considering the cover image states “Fall 2015”, I cry a little bit inside when I see it (because we all know how impatient I am) but I will continue to share my love for this series with everyone in the meantime.

There you have it… obviously there are a ton more we’re excited about but we’re trying to follow rules today!  What sequels are you excited for? Let us know in the comments!
