Top Ten Books I Would Love To See As A Movie/TV Show

September 10, 2013 by Jaime Leave a Comment

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome and wonderful people over at The Broke and The Bookish

Hi!! We’re back! We took a couple weeks off of TTT because life has been crazy around here but we’re back and ready to share our top then thoughts each week!! This week, we’re talking about books we would love to see as a movie or TV show.

This one is exciting, because there are so many possibilities, we’re excited to see what others put on their lists!!

We’ve decided we’re going to do top 5 that should be movies and top 5 that should be TV shows… Ready?
Please note, We’re trying not to pick things we loved that are already in talks to be movies etc.

1. Reboot by Amy Tintera – We think that this would make an amazing TV show – the action, the romance … the hot, swoony, yet adorably funny boy… WIN

2. The Burning Sky by Sherry Thomas – This should most definitely be a movie – all the fantasy!!! And Iolanthe, Prince Titus…and Dragons!

3. Altered Seried by Jennifer Rush – I can totally see this as a TV Show – it’s action packed and has a lot of potential for expansion.  Plus… hot boys.
4.  Pivot Point/Split Second by Kasie West – I would love to see this as a TV Show!!  With the whole divergent piece…we would love to see how the different lives that Addison experiences happen…perhaps alternating weeks

5.  From What I Remember by Val Thomas & Stacy Kramer – Movie!! I even said when I reviewed it that I could see the action of every single thing that was written!  Perfect Summer, Teen RomCom.

6. Throne of Glass/Crown of Midnight – please please please give us Chaol on the big screen someday. PLEASE!!! (Is that enough begging? If not, we can commit to more). Also, we would love to see Celaena kick some butt on screen.

7.  The Blood of Eden Series by Julie Kagawa – MOVIE  We need a good no holds barred vampire movie series!!  Kagawa doesn’t hold back in her books and we would love to see this one done as a movie with the same approach.

8.  Covenant Series by Jennifer Armentrout – I would love to see this as a tv show – since I have lost ALL interest in watching TVD these days I would love to see these characters come alive!!
9. Chicagoland Vampires Series – This would (in our opinion) make a great tv series.  There is enough drama and romance to keep us turning the pages and we honestly believe it would translate well.  Plus, there are enough other paranormal things going on that it isn’t always about vampires and could hold our interest if done right.

10.  The Grisha series by Leigh Bardugo.  Although it usually makes us nervous when our favorite characters are cast, I would be curious to see who could fill this role.  Additionally, having loved what Bardugo did in the book to build the world Alina, Mal, and The Darkling live in, we would be curious to see what Hollywood would come up with.

So there you have it… the books we’d love to see on TV or the big screen *crosses fingers that it will happen* What books are on your list? Tell us in the comments!
