Top Ten Books I’ve Read So Far In 2013

June 25, 2013 by Jaime Leave a Comment

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome and wonderful people over at The Broke and The Bookish

This week the topic is Top Ten Books I’ve read so far in 2013… you do however have to realize that there is NO WAY I’ll be able to keep this list to ten…

Erin’s still traveling around China today, so these are my picks, but I know that she would agree with me on most of them!

The Women’s Fiction & Contemporary!

Golden – Jessi Kirby– I loved this story – the tiny bit of mystery and intrigue… and I’m a sucker for a coming of age story where the main character comes into her own. My Review
Me Before You – Jojo Moyes – GAH This book!! THIS BOOK.  One of the most poignant stories I’ve ever read and even though it hurt, I loved every single second of it.  My Review
Covet – Tracey Garvis-Graves – Tracey is my favorite. This book had me worried… I read the summary and was like WHUT … LOL but I started and couldn’t put it down. It’s a story that I think everyone can appreciate, whether you’re married or not.  My Review

The Dystopian/Post-Apocalyptic & Paranormal
Reboot – Amy Tintera – CALLUM… and WREN! I am so excited for this series and where it’s going to go.  Everyone should read this! My Review
Haze – Paula Weston– This series is amazing and book 2 was incredible (I finished it like 2 days ago) I’m so excited that this series is going to be more widely distributed now too – that means you all should be reading it. (review hasn’t posted yet!)
The 5th Wave – Rick Yancey – I was amazed by this book. To be honest I wasn’t sure what I was in for when I started it, but I am incredibly excited for the next at this point.  My Review

The Books That Aren’t Out Yet!
The Beginning of Everything – Robyn Schneider – I adored everything about this book. Ezra is just a wonderful character and I think that everyone is going to fall in love with him when it is released! My Review
How to Love – Katie Cotugno – I sat on this review for days after reading. I want everyone to read this and fall in love with it as much as I did.  Cotugno weaves an incredible before and after story that had me feeling all kinds of things.  My Review
Crown of Midnight – Sarah J. Maas – I have mad love for Sarah and seriously this series is one of the only books I own every available copy of.  I’m in love with the fantasy aspect and book 2 blew me away – I can’t wait for everyone to get to read it when it comes out! My Review
The Repeat Authors!!

Pivot Point & The Distance Between Us by Kasie West – Kasie West is on my autobuy list just so you know.  Pivot Point was the first book I read in 2013 and I absolutely fell in love with her!  Then I got my hands on The Distance Between Us early and you guys… (Xander is mine) I loved this story – West just has a wonderful way with words and a great way of telling a story! Pivot Point Review / TDBU Review

Eleanor & Park & Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell – I adore Rainbow… I have had the opportunity to meet her a couple of times now, and she’s just the sweetest!  E&P was just a wonderful story and I really fell in with with the two main characters.  Fangirl… well, I can’t even really explain other than I feel like Rainbow gets me. LOL This book is equal parts funny and sad and just perfection.  E&P Review / Fangirl Review

So… tell us in the comments … What have been your favorites this year?
