Top Ten Books When You Need Something Light & Fun

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome and wonderful people over at The Broke and The Bookish

This week the topic is: Top Ten Books When We Need Something Light and Fun! In some cases we had to list authors vs. just one specific book – yes, had to. This is partially an excuse to show more than ten books because we had a difficult time narrowing this list down. These are just a few that we continue to go back to to when we need something light/fun – tell us what you think!

The entire Lucky Harbor series…really anything by Jill Shalvis.

Both Anna and the French Kiss and Lola and the Boy Next Door are go to’s for us. Whenever a book is listed as “the next Anna” we are immediately checking it out to see if it really is. Stephanie Perkins creates real (and swoony) characters that we just want to hang out with.

We love anything by Ruthie Knox – she writes great stories and has sexy guys. Her romances have wonderful characters that draw us in and we usually can’t stop smiling while reading her books…including the two below.

From Sam Cruz to Sophie Bloom, Tellulah Darling writes some fabulous stories with great characters. There is always wonderful banter and we love them!

This is one of those stories where we weren’t expecting a lot going in but were pleasantly surprised. It is a funny romance with a paranormal twist that will keep you turning the pages.

The Hex Hall series was great – think Mean Girls with witches, warlocks, faeries, and shapeshifters. It has a great main character in Sophie – she is snarky and funny. Plus…Archer.

We love everything by Julie Kagawa. If you haven’t read the Iron Fey series yet, definitely consider starting it. It is entertaining, has a strong heroine, and some great characters.

Stupid and Contagious was another one of those books that we hadn’t heard a lot about but to quote Jaime’s review it “is probably one of the funniest books I’ve read in quite a while”.
