Naughty and Nice: Three Holiday Treats by Ruthie Knox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
4 stars to Room At The Inn
I picked this book up mainly for the Ruthie Knox novella called Room at the Inn. I adore her writing and this was no exception. I did not read the third novella in this collection.
Carson Vance was determined to get out of Potter Falls and when he comes back it’s never for very long. Julie Long, came with him once, and never left. After accepting that Carson was never going to be a permanent fixture in her new life in Potter Falls, she now owns the local inn and has become a town treasure.
Carson is back in town to help his father but quickly falls into old habits with Julie after being forced to stay at the inn, only he’s finding that he likes who he is in the town he has tried to escape.
Julie and Carson try valiantly to ignore their feelings for each other and the connection they share, not to mention the chemistry between the two is off the charts. They have years of history and the comfort they have around each other is sweet and the moments of lighthearted falling in love with the passion these two share was perfection.
“Kiss me for real,” she whispered.
“I’m getting to it.”
She took his head in both hands and pulled his mouth toward hers. “Hurry up.”
I absolutely love the characters that Knox writes – Julie is strong and sassy and Carson is a total guys guy. Her plots give you the sweet wonderful romance without being cliche or predictable and I appreciate that!
Definitely add this to your must read holiday books!
3 stars to All I Want For Christmas Is You
I wasn’t sure what exactly to think of this one at first, it was incredibly short and didn’t really give you an opportunity to get to know the characters. It’s my understanding that this is part of another story and that the rest will be published later?
Like I said, anything by Ruthie Knox is worth a purchase and you can consider the other two bonus material!
