When I found out that Veronica Rossi was writing New Adult I MAY have squealed a bit in joy… She completely won me for life with her Under the Never Sky series (*sigh Perry & Roar*) so I knew that Boomerang was going on the top of my I MUST READ IMMEDIATELY list. And I read it… and I fell in love with this duo’s writing. See… sometimes I want to read something NOT completely filled with drama and angst, and this fit the bill perfectly. What would Ethan have on his Christmas list? What about Mia?

V: Probably sports gear for Ethan! New running shoes, perhaps, and maybe a couple of nice shirts so he can take Mia out on dates looking sharp!

L: Mia’s would probably include film gear, film collections, maybe tickets to live music or theater. She doesn’t get out enough!

If Ethan and Mia are spending Christmas Eve together what would they be doing?

V: Cuddling. Kissing. ETCETERA. If you know what I mean.

L: I imagine they might have dinner over at Casa Galliano and then onto the cuddling, kissing, and etcetera. And then a full day of hair recovery for Mia. 😉 (They’d probably also have Hanukkah there too. Potato latkes FTW!)

What would Ethan put in Mia’s stocking? What would Mia put in Ethan’s?

V: I think he’d probably put a few of her favorite things in there, like her perfume. He’d also put a really heartfelt Christmas card in there, telling her how much he looooves her.

L: I think Mia would surprise Ethan with tickets to a championship soccer game or a gift card to his favorite sporting goods store. I think she’d also slip in some motivational reading and most definitely a steamy and romantic card for him—to be read in PRIVATE!

Now how about some questions for you!

When do you hang up your decorations?

V: Usually the weekend after Thanksgiving. That’s what we shoot for, but sometimes we’re too busy and have to defer a week.

L: Being Jewish, I only occasionally do Christmas decorations—depending on who I’m married to or living with at the time, haha—but mostly it’s as simple as a menorah, so pretty low fuss!

What’s your favorite holiday memory?

V: There are so many! But one of my favorites is floating in the ocean. We spend Christmas on Miami Beach every other year, and my family loves to kick it in the sand and surf.

L: Tons here, too! My family tends to be big into Thanksgiving and, recently, New Year’s Eve, so all my favorite memories revolve around those holidays. This year, we all spent Thanksgiving day cooking in our pajamas and dancing around the kitchen. I’m pretty sure that will become a favorite memory!

What’s on your holiday wishlist this year?

V: A new tea kettle. And some running gear, like Ethan!

L: Like Mia, I covet film collections and would love the Warner Bros 50 film collection (it’s pricey). Books, of course, ALWAYS. And one of those time-turners from Harry Potter so I could eke out more hours in the day!

What’s your favorite holiday tradition?

V: One of my favorites actually just happened over Thanksgiving. My family does an annual lip sync competition, which we call Turkey Lips. Everyone participates. People come with costumes and props, and it’s pretty serious competition, with a voting ballot and a trophy and everything. It’s hysterical. We make a video out of it – out of all of us making fools of ourselves.

L: I’m still trying to get V to show me one of those videos! As for me, just anything that brings me together with my family.

What’s your favorite Christmas song?

V: Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. A classic.

L: That’s a good one, V! I’m going with that one too, though I also love Angels, We Have Heard On High.

What’s your favorite holiday movie?

V: Elf! I love that movie.

L: Gotta go traditional with It’s a Wonderful Life.

It’s midnight on New Year’s Eve – you can kiss any celebrity, living or dead. Who do you pick?

V: Louie Zamperini. He’s the man who the book/upcoming movie UNBROKEN is about. He just passed away this year at like 93 or something. I’m kind of obsessed with him. He knew how to live. He was a survivor. I’d love to have been able to give him a hug, and a peck on the cheek, just to be near his awesomeness.

But second place would be Bear Grylls, from Man Vs. Wild, who I think is the cutest. Third place would probably be Prince Harry. Fourth would be… okay, I’ll stop now.

L: Hmm, can I make a Sherlock sandwich and kiss BOTH Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch?

Now tell us a little about what’s on the horizon for you? Are you working on something new? Do you have something coming out soon?

V: Well, let’s see… I have the INTO THE STILL BLUE paperback editions coming out 12/23. On Feb 10th, under Noelle August, REBOUND releases. We will also have BOUNCE, the final Noelle August book, coming out sometime in the summer. Then, early 2015, my YA, RIDERS, will release. As for what I’m working on, in 2015 I’ll be writing the second book in the RIDERS duology, titled SEEKER, and I’m working on a new YA fantasy series at the moment that’s still in the very early stages.

L: Wow, V, you’re impressive! I’ve obviously got the Noelle August releases too, a ghostwriting project that I’m super excited about, and the first stirrings of a novel idea I can’t wait to dive into, so 2015 will be BUSY!
