Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome and wonderful people over at The Broke and The Bookish
This week the topic is: Top Ten Books I Recommend The Most (in no particular order) also – if you’re a regular reader, this list will come as no surprise to you! LOLÂ
The Dream Catcher series has been among my favorites for a very long time and I believe were my first books by the incredible Lisa McMann and I still love them just as much as I did the first time I read them. Â The series has suspense, mystery and paranormal aspects all mixed with a bit of a romance. Â *sigh* Cabel. Â You must read these if you haven’t yet!Â
Cath Crowley made me a believer with Graffiti Moon – it’s held a spot among my favorites since the day I finished. The story is sweet and lovely and I absolutely love the words that Crowley put on the page. Â I mean… “I liked that he had hair that was growing without a plan. A smile that came out of nowhere and left the same way. That he was tall enough so I had to look up to him in my dream sequences. I really liked his t-shirts.” You Must Read.
I know, I know… I don’t even have a review posted for HTKARS but to be fair, I read this book ages ago, way before the blog or Goodreads. But this book is probably one of the first books I had purchased in a long long time and holy crap I loved every single second of it. Â It made me sad, mad, teary, smiley… and yes, I should probably do a reread just so that I can do a proper review for it. If you haven’t tried this one… definitely do it. Â Soon!Â
Easy… I don’t even know what to say to you if you haven’t read this book.  I was hooked and unable to put it down. I wanted to junk punch Jacqueline’s ex, I wanted to hug Lucas and maybe sit on his lap and talk and then maybe stare at his tattoos and piercing and go for a ride on his motorcycle  … It was my first foray into the New Adult genre and I wasn’t disappointed. Â
HOLY CRAP THIS BOOK. Â I can’t even discuss this yet – please just go read my review and then read this book
I absolutely loved On the Island – a lot of people looked at me funny when I told them about it at first, because let’s face it… it starts out with  a student and teacher… but omg don’t let that deter you because the growth of the relationship between T.J. and Anna and the struggles they face while stranded … I loved every second of it.  Even the painful stuff! Â
The Iron Fey series is probably one of my favorite YA series. I picked them up on whim while I was on vacation and I devoured the bunch of them. They are quick, mostly light reads and the characters are so wonderfully written! Â (I LOVE ASH!) I think anyone could read these books and enjoy them which makes them a wonderful rec in my opinion!
If you don’t know about my Jase obsession (where have you been??) then you must be new to the blog… OMG this book – In all honesty I picked it up because of the cover. I thought it was gorgeous. Then I started reading it and I couldn’t put it down because of the characters that Fitzpatrick has created. Each one of them had me hooked, but especially Jase. I mean… that boy *sigh*.  “Um. So… are we going to study?”Â
Jase slides his thumbs behind my ears, rubbing the hollow at their base. Â He’s only inches from my face, still looking into my eyes. “You bet. I’m studying you.”
To be honest, I’m not even sure where I saw something on book one of The Last Year series… but I would like to thank them profusely, because upon reading Whispers In Autumn, I needed more and I fell in love with the world that Trisha Leigh has created. Â I know you’ve seen me recommend this before and if you haven’t picked it up yet, what are you waiting for? It’s complete now, so no waiting for the full story! I promise you won’t be disappointed!! Â
The prologue of this book will have you dying to read as fast as you can. I loved each and every character that Millay created in this story.  Nastya and Josh had me from hello – they were  so wonderfully developed and the evolution of their relationship and story was so heartbreaking and lovely and honestly written.  The underlying mystery of what happened to Nastya and what her real story might be is always there and revealed at such a wonderful pace that once you pick this book up, you won’t put it down until you get to the last page.  I will recommend this book forever!Â
Oh… I know  this is number 11, but I can’t not include it.  I love love this story and it’s such a beautiful story and so well told that since I got my super pretty copy of the book, I’ve been a ‘the sky is everywhere pusher’.  Toby, Joe, Lennie … they are just some of my absolute favorites and I think you’ll never go wrong by picking up this book!
You may have noticed that I left off some of the more obvious recommendations. Â I mean… Divergent/Insurgent, Shatter Me/Unravel Me, Â Legend/Prodigy, Lucky Harbor, The Fault in Our Stars, Vampire Academy, If I Stay/Where She Went… I think most of those are givens for me… but these… these are books that you I think anyone could really really love and I try to push on anyone who asks!
Tell me in the comments … what are the books you recommend the most!? I want to know if I’ve read them yet!Â
