Top Ten Characters I Wish Would Get Their OWN Book

November 11, 2014 by Jaime Leave a Comment

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome and wonderful people over at The Broke and The Bookish

So have you ever read a book and thought… damn! I wish we could know more about that random friend/family member/ex-boyfriend/sidekick that we got bits and pieces about but absolutely fell in love with?  Well, yeah, so that’s what today’s Top Ten Tuesday is about!  A few of these are and will be on my wishlist forever and I hope you’ll agree with me on them all! We don’t quite have ten here, but it’s a start! ALSO – my lovely Meg who is an expert dreamcaster agreed to pick out who she would cast based on description alone – let us know what you think!

Kenji – Shatter Me Series by Tahereh Mafi

We heart Kenji so much and it would seriously make our lives if Mafi went ahead and wrote even just a novella dedicated just to him… seriously.

Gage Reynolds – On The Fence by Kasie West
So I read this book and immediately got on twitter and told Kasie…(or asked very politely) if she would consider writing Gage’s story. I’m hoping it’s coming on the horizon!

Roar – Under The Never Sky by Veronica Rossi

ROOOOOOAR!! I love him madly, and I really want him to get everything and I want to read about it and fall in love with him some more!

Wren – Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
So…  I sort of feel like we didn’t get to know Wren at all in Fangirl except about how shitty she was to Cath and how she got herself into a bit of trouble as a freshman in college. I would love to get her POV… mostly because I can understand some of her actions… the desire to be a separate person instead of part of a pair, to make yourself stand apart from who you’ve always been… but I wanna hear it from her!

Shelby – How To Love by Katie Cotugno

I absolutely loved Shelby in this story. She’s so incredibly supportive and even when she didn’t agree with Reena’s actions, she still stood by her as a friend and I want to learn more about her!

Toby – The Beginning of Everything by Robyn Schneider

I heart Toby… from his tragic story at the beginning of this story  to the way he and Ezra rebuilt their friendship, I want to more about him and what he future holds for him!

Drew – The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay

OMG you guys… Drew is … *sigh* I adore him in The Sea of Tranquility, and I know his story is amazing… I just need to hold it in my hands and read it… *cough hear that Katja cough*

I would like to add an honorable mention to this list … more as a FLAIL that we’re getting the story, because I even mentioned in my review that I was hoping we’d get this secondary character’s story… Tim from My Life Next Door!! AND  Huntley Fitzpatrick is publishing his story, The Boy Most Likely To in 2015!! I’m so damn excited!

So, I know it’s not 10, but I think this is a good number of stories to beg for, don’t you?
What do you say authors?
Did I forget to mention anyone? Do you agree with me on these? Let me know in the comments!
