Top 10 Books That I Would Love To Read Again For The First Time

March 24, 2015 by Jaime Leave a Comment

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome and wonderful people over at The Broke and The Bookish

So we changed this topic up a bit… I will say it here…  I was never much of a reader in my childhood.  I don’t know, I think we were always the kids doing sports and running around.  I’m so glad that we have found that balance later in life and in our reading journey, we’ve come across some books that, we wish we could experience again, as if it were the first time we’ve read it.

I still remember reading this book on the way home from my Grandma’s house for Thanksgiving.  When I turned the last page, I practically threw it at Erin and said she HAD to read it immediately.  I love when I experience books like that and this was probably one of the first in a long time to do that for me.

This book is probably my all-time favorite … You should know how impossible it is for a book junkie to say something like that, so it has to mean something right?  I mean if I were stranded in a place where I was allowed to have only one book – it would be this one.  The writing is gorgeous, the story is heartbreaking and the swoons are …well I’ll just say “bat, bat, bat.”

I adore this story – For whatever reason, I seem to fall for Aussie writers in such a good way and this book will probably be among my all-time faves for the rest of my life.  I love the characters, I love the story and I love… well everything about it.  ALSO – sidenote, if you haven’t listened to the audio of this one, you absolutely have to. I’m not even exaggerating when I tell you I laughed so hard at one point that I had tears streaming down my face… while I was at work.

UGH YOU GUYS… this book is so amazing … I’m never going to stop saying that by the way

.  Moyes takes some unconventional characters and makes you absolutely fall in love with them.  They burrow their way into your heart and you will find yourself way more invested in a book then you probably should be.  I’m both excited and scared for the movie of this one, because I will see it and I will probably cry …but it will be worth it to see this come to life.

I don’t even know what else to say about this story you guys that I haven’t said previously.  I am in love with this story, I love these characters and I want to read this gem all over and experience the ups and downs that is life for these amazing people for the first time … over and over.
This is one of those books you don’t hear much about, but when I read it, it just stuck with me, Jackson has created some wonderful characters that will have you so engrossed in this story. If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend it.
And this is a book you won’t stop hearing about lol – it’s such a wonderfully told story – both incredibly lovely and amazingly heartbreaking at the same time.  These characters…Finch especially will have you entranced I promise and I kind of wish I could go back to the beginning and start all over.
Find Me (Find Me, #1)

Romily Bernard has written some of my favorite characters in this series and I can’t believe I haven’t re-read this one yet but with book three coming out this year I will be diving into it as soon as I can!

How to Kill a Rock Star

I took forever to read this book despite all the love everyone had for it and now that I have read it I can’t wait to read it again. Debartolo makes you feel a lot of things all throughout this book and that’s what I love most about it.

Where the Stars Still Shine

This book you guys…I remember reading it and just wanting to hug Callie all the time.  And then there’s Alex…Doller can do no wrong with her writing (in my opinion) and I think everyone should read this book…or re-read it if you have read it already!

The Boleyn King (Boleyn Trilogy, #1)

I remember just randomly picking up this book and when I finished I was completely blown away by the story that Andersen weaves. Yes it is historical and I know that isn’t for everyone but it has a twist and a love story and so much more that I can’t even talk about.  Dom makes my list of guys all the time and you should read this series to see why!
