Review: Seven Day Fiance

October 4, 2013 by Jaime Leave a Comment

Seven Day Fiancé (Love and Games, #2)Seven Day Fiancé by Rachel Harris
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was recently introduced to Rachel Harris by chance. I completely fell in love with her writing while reading Book 1 in the Love and Games series. I only recently found out that Book 2, Seven Day Fiance was available for advance reading and I jumped at the chance.

Keep in mind that this is from the Entangled Bliss imprint. You know that means only hints of the yummy smut, but with the way Harris writes you won’t even miss it. Well… except for that one scene!

Cane Robichaux isn’t the settling down kind of guy. If you read book 1 you know he’s Colby’s brother and he runs the family restaurant… yes, he’s a closet nerd, but a damn sexy one with his tattoos and a motocycle.

Angelle is the new girl. Working for the fire department, she moved to town to escape the expectations of her hometown and a fiance that just wasn’t right for her.

Cane and Angelle have only had brief interactions, but they always seem to leave her a hot mess. When she makes the mistake of telling her mom that she’s engaged to someone new, she needs Cane to help her out and spend Thanksgiving with her overwhelming family and the ex that still wants her.

I absolutely loved this book – the chemistry between Angelle and Cane was so well done, and omg that man.

”Just so we’re clear” – placed his hand on hers – “you can proposition me any time, angel.”

I mean…

So I’m going to say up front, I hate reading from PDF because I can’t highlight the quotes that I love and want to share, and this book had plenty of them. Watching both Angelle and Cane slowly get to know each other and ultimately have everyone believing that their relationship was … except for them, was perfect. I absolutely loved the two of them together and getting to see glimpses of Colby and Jason was just a bonus.

If you’re looking for a book filled with Cajun food and family plus a sweet romance, you’re definitely going to want to check out the Love and Games series. Rachel Harris certainly knows what she’s doing in this series and I can’t wait for the next one! (Crosses fingers for Sherry’s story!)

Also… Rachel, if you want my email so you can send me the rest of that one scene… just say the word!

Thank you to Entangled for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
