REVIEW: Dirty Deal by Christine Bell (ADULT)

August 25, 2014 by Jaime Leave a Comment

DIRTY DEAL
By: Christine Bell
Publication Date: August 25th, 2014

Professional matchmaker Serena Elliott spends her workdays helping clients find love. It’s the perfect gig. She gets to see the good part of the relationships…before things inevitably turn to crap. She leads her own love life the same way. Get in, and get out before things get too complicated. One date with sexy army doctor, Bryan Metcalf, won’t be enough to make her change her mind, no matter how hot it gets…

Bryan has had his share of crazy women and isn’t in the market for another relationship that ends by way of restraining order. When Serena Elliott gets into a bidding war for him at a charity bachelor auction, he’s a little worried. Turns out she’s just as anti-relationship as he is, and could be the solution to all his problems. If he can convince her to be his fake girlfriend, he just might be able to spend the rest of his leave in peace. Now if only he can stop thinking about that night on the beach…

But there are other forces at work that believe these two belong together, and they just might find out that happily ever afters do exist.

ABOUT CHRISTINE
Christine Bell is a romance author and also writes erotic romance as Chloe Cole. She and her handsome hubby currently reside in Pennsylvania with a four-pack of teenage boys. If she gets time off from her duties as maid, chef, chauffeur, or therapist, she can be found reading just about anything she can get her hands on, from Young Adult novels to books on poker theory. She doesn’t like root beer, clowns or bugs (except ladybugs, on account of their cute outfits), but lurrves chocolate, going to the movies, the New York Giants and playing Texas Hold ‘Em. Writing is her passion, but if she had to pick another occupation, she would be a pirate…or, like, a ninja maybe. She loves writing steamy romance stories, but also hopes to one day publish something her dad can read without wanting to dig his eyes out with a rusty spoon. Christine loves to hear from readers, so please contact her through her website,www.christine-bell.com

Jaime’s Thoughts
Dirty Deal
by Christine Bell

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I adore Christine Bell’s writing and I grab everything that I possibly can by her… and Dirty Deal is just one more confirmation of why I will continue to do so.

Serena is a professional matchmaker… She loves being part of the process where people find each other and she gets to see the best part of a relationship… the falling. But if you look close enough, you can see that she’s a bit jaded. She’s seen the ugly part of relationships and is convinced that everything eventually comes to an end. With that in mind, she’s not looking for something permanent. Get in… get what you want and need… and then get out before you get too invested.

Bryan Metcalf has had his share of crazy relationships. He isn’t looking for anything serious even though his sister is convinced it’s just what he needs. When the gorgeous Serena Elliott gets into a bidding war for him at a bachelor auction, he can’t help but be intrigued by her, and when he finds out that she is just as anti-relationship as he is, he realizes that maybe she’s just what he needs right now.

Christine Bell delivers a well-written and steamy romance for her readers here. If you enjoy a guy who has the dirty talking down pat, then you’re going to want to grab this one as soon as possible.

Repeat after me-” he flexed his fingers deep, the pads of them rubbing her G-spot with unerring accuracy-“I want you.”

“I want you,” she whimpered

“To slide that cock deep inside me until I scream,” he urged.

“Tell me, Serena. Say the words. I want you to fuck me until I come. Tell me you want it, and it’s yours.”

I think the only things that didn’t really work for me was Serena’s ‘grand gesture’. It didn’t feel like something she would do based on her history and even based on what she knows of Bryan. It just didn’t work for me… but to be honest, that was a minor issue for me in an otherwise wonderful read.

If you haven’t read anything by Christine Bell, definitely grab any of her titles immediately. I promise you won’t be disappointed… and make sure you grab this one when it arrives!

Thank you to Entangled for an advanced copy of this title in exchange for my honest thoughts.
