Ten Books I Feel Differently About After Time Has Passed

May 24, 2016 by Jaime 10 Comments

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome and wonderful people over at The Broke and The Bookish

Jaime’s Picks

104290458306857SHATTER ME – I really hate to say this, but for as much as I loved this book when I read it… over time, I’ve come to the conclusion that it ended up just being okay for me.  Don’t get me wrong, I still like them, but I don’t imagine I’ll ever reread this series.

DIVERGENT – This series over time just kind of fell flat for me.  If you want to know, I never even read the final book.  This hurts me though, because I loved book 1 – and Four… seriously.  It kills me to say this.

DELIRIUM – I loved this book… but then that ending.

VAMPIRE ACADEMY – I still like this series, and I absolutely love Rose & Dimitri… but I feel like I really don’t love the story as much as I once did. Honestly, maybe that movie ruined it all for me.

HUSH, HUSH – I loved this book when I first read it, but looking back, and after reading the rest of the series, I really just don’t anymore.

Erin’s Picks

endure

CiCity of bonesty of Bones – I liked this series when I read it but I recently went back to this one and read a few chapters and quickly realized I wasn’t as impressed with this book as I originally was when I read it.

Endure (Need #4) – After reading book 4 of this series my first thought was…were all the books this annoying and frustrating?  I probably rated this one higher than I really should have and while I initially enjoyed this series, it didn’t end on a great note for me.

blue bloods fallen know by heart

Blue Bloods – I loved this series and I think it is more about me and my reading preferences more than anything that has made me adjust my feelings about it.

Fallen – I still very much love these covers but after reading the third book I wasn’t loving the series as much.  I admit, I never even considered reading the fourth and fifth books – mostly because this was supposed to be a trilogy.

Things We Know by Heart – I loved this one but as I was reviewing my list of highly rated books, I don’t know that I would have rated it a 5 if I were reviewing it today. Nothing against the book – I still really love the story but the afterglow has dimmed over time.

There you go! Books we feel differently after time has passed… what are some of yours? Would you agree with any of our picks? Let us know in the comments!
