Happy Thanksgiving!

We  wanted to take a second here to do what We’re sure many others are doing today … saying thank you.

Sure reading books are for the most part a pretty solitary thing, but there are so many people that help us do what we do here at Fiction Fare, and we absolutely could not do it without them.  So we decided today would be a good time to share those thank you’s!

Here goes!

The Publicists/Publishers

Of course this is probably a given, but if we want to be ahead of the curve and be relevant in the book blogging world, these amazing people are the ones who help us make it happen.  They  let us know what they’re excited about, they of course send us copies of books and hook us up with authors for interviews and extra content, but what makes it all so much fun is that they truly share this love of books with us.  For so many, a job is a job is a job, but with the publicists I’ve had the pleasure to work with, they absolutely love what they do, and it shows, and it makes book blogging a blast!

The Blogger Friends

In all seriousness we’ve made some amazing friends along the way in our 3.5 years of blogging.  Kass and Meg  our blogging BFF’s from Swoonyboys are our favorite people in the universe. They get us and they still love us, even after 3 BEA’s and plenty of podcasts and other events we’ve organized over time.  Kass did our blog redesign this year and she’s amazingly talented and how do you even say thank you when someone uses their spare time (and believe me she has very little) to help you create something that’s this lovely.

There are a ton more friends we’ve made along the way, I don’t want to name names because I’m horrible and I know I’ll forget someone, because that’s just how I roll, but please know that if we’ve talked in person, chatted online or interacted in some way, you all have impacted us in some way and helped us enjoy what we do here even more than we could possibly imagine.

The Authors

Let’s be real… we wouldn’t even be a blog if the authors weren’t here right? We are so incredibly thankful for all of their amazing words and stories. The blood, sweat and tears that go in a novel are something that I’ll probably never truly understand, but I will forever appreciate that someone does this for a living. The fact that I can get lost in someone else’s words and thoughts and adventures for a bit each day/night is something that I treasure so very much.

The better part though are the friendships that we now have with some of these amazing authors that are out there in the world.  People who’s words I can do nothing but admire and appreciate… we get to call some of these people friends… they let us email them and sometimes text them… and we sometimes even get invited to have food with them where we get to chat about other books and authors and it just blows my mind that we  get to be a part of this.

You Guys!

Let’s be real number 2 – we wouldn’t even be a blog if you guys didn’t follow us or pay attention to the posts that we create.  It honestly all comes down to you guys and we can’t say thank you enough.  The fact that you trust us and our opinions about books and want to hear what we think about something… BLOWS MY MIND.  Plus it gives us someone to get excited about books with, we get to swoon over book boys together, we get to flail over cliffhangers, and we get to commiserate over things that just don’t go the way we wanted or smile and laugh over the things that do, and we appreciate you!

So thank you everyone!

I hope you all have an amazing Thanksgiving Day however it is you are spending it!

Thank you for being a part of our book world and for letting us be a part of yours!
