Happy Thanksgiving Hop with Ashley Elston

Happy Thanksgiving Hop with Ashley Elston

If you haven’t read any of Ashley Elston’s books you are seriously missing out.  She is one of my favorite writers and I’m so excited for anything and everything she has coming down the road! I just recently finished her newest release and it’s so amazing! If you’re a fan of books with a bit of mystery and incredible characters these are definitely books you need to read!  We’ve got a fun Q&A with her to share with you, but first — Book Details:

13018503She’s been six different people in six different places: Madeline in Ohio, Isabelle in Missouri, Olivia in Kentucky . . . But now that she’s been transplanted to rural Louisiana, she has decided that this fake identity will be her last.

Witness Protection has taken nearly everything from her. But for now, they’ve given her a new name, Megan Rose Jones, and a horrible hair color. For the past eight months, Meg has begged her father to answer one question: What on earth did he do – or see – that landed them in this god-awful mess? Meg has just about had it with all the Suits’ rules — and her dad’s silence. If he won’t help, it’s time she got some answers for herself.

But Meg isn’t counting on Ethan Landry, an adorable Louisiana farm boy who’s too smart for his own good. He knows Meg is hiding something big. And it just might get both of them killed. As they embark on a perilous journey to free her family once and for all, Meg discovers that there’s only one rule that really matters — survival.

Hi There!

No one knows what happened that morning at River Point. Five boys went hunting. Four came back. The boys won’t say who fired the shot that killed their friend; the evidence shows it could have been any one of them. 23341252

Kate Marino’s senior year internship at the District Attorney’s Office isn’t exactly glamorous—more like an excuse to leave school early that looks good on college applications. Then the DA hands her boss, Mr. Stone, the biggest case her small town of Belle Terre has ever seen. The River Point Boys are all anyone can talk about. Despite their damning toxicology reports the morning of the accident, the DA wants the boys’ case swept under the rug. He owes his political office to their powerful families.

Kate won’t let that happen. Digging up secrets without revealing her own is a dangerous line to walk; Kate has her own reasons for seeking justice for Grant. As she and Stone investigate—the ageing prosecutor relying on Kate to see and hear what he cannot—she realizes that nothing about the case—or the boys—is what it seems. Grant wasn’t who she thought he was, and neither is Stone’s prime suspect. As Kate gets dangerously close to the truth, it becomes clear that the early morning accident might not have been an accident at all—and if Kate doesn’t uncover the true killer, more than one life could be on the line…including her own.

Hi There!

Do you have any fun Thanksgiving traditions?

We always go to my Mom’s house for Thanksgiving. She makes this dressing that is THE BEST dressing I’ve ever had. I dream of this dressing.  I’m hungry just thinking about it. And then we usually sit around and watch football for the rest of the afternoon since we’re all in a food coma and can’t do anything else. Sometimes there is talk of shopping on Black Friday but that usually doesn’t end up happening.

Do you have a favorite Thanksgiving pie?

In the fall, part of my husband’s business is custom pecan harvesting which basically means we pick, clean and bag pecans from orchards all over North Louisiana. So there is always homemade pecan pie made with local pecans. Can’t beat it.

What’s your most creative leftover turkey idea?

Generally, I’m not a fan of leftovers but I do love a good turkey sandwich!

If you could have any 3 authors at your Thanksgiving table, who would they be and why? (Living or dead!)

Sidney Sheldon. I first started reading his books in high school and my love of a “shocking twist” was born. I often think while I’m writing, “What would Sidney Sheldon do??”

Jennifer Weiner because seriously, how fun would that be?! I would love to talk books and The Bachelor with her.

Leigh Bardugo. I adore her books. Since I write contemporary, I’m fascinated with authors who build amazing worlds like Leigh does.

What book will you be reading over the holiday?

I’ve been looking forward to HEARTLESS by Marissa Meyer and THE AMATEURS by Sara Shepard so probably both of those now that they’re out.

What are you most thankful for this season?

My family. Couldn’t do any of this without their support.

Thank you so much for being a part of our author hop Ashley! We hope you have an amazing Thanksgiving!
