Featuring The Incredible Sherry Thomas & A SIGNED Giveaway!

December 19, 2013 by Jaime Leave a Comment

You guys… The Burning Sky is among  my favorite books of 2013 for a reason. When I started it… I kind of knew I was going to enjoy it, but I didn’t know I was going to love love it!  I found myself completely ensconced in Iolanthe and Titus’s story and Thomas pulls you into the world she’s created and makes it hard to even think about leaving.  Just talking about it makes me want to read it again… and I don’t normally reread books!

The Burning Sky was a perfect mix of magic and fantasy with incredible characters and action and even a swoony romance!

This is the story of a girl who fooled a thousand boys, a boy who fooled an entire country, a partnership that would change the fate of the realms, and a power to challenge the greatest tyrant the world had ever known.

Expect magic.

And oh boy is there magic, and a riveting story, and a swoony prince!  If you haven’t read this one put it on your to be read this now!

READ MY REVIEW
It all began with a ruined elixir and an accidental bolt of lightning…

Iolanthe Seabourne is the greatest elemental mage of her generation—or so she’s being told. The one prophesied for years to be the savior of The Realm. It is her duty and destiny to face and defeat the Bane, the greatest mage tyrant the world has ever known. A suicide task for anyone let alone a sixteen-year-old girl with no training, facing a prophecy that foretells a fiery clash to the death.

Prince Titus of Elberon has sworn to protect Iolanthe at all costs but he’s also a powerful mage committed to obliterating the Bane to avenge the death of his family—even if he must sacrifice both Iolanthe and himself to achieve his goal.

But Titus makes the terrifying mistake of falling in love with the girl who should have been only a means to an end. Now, with the servants of the Bane closing in, he must choose between his mission and her life.

ABOUT SHERRY
Sherry Thomas writes both historical romance and young adult fantasy.
On the romance side, she is one of the most acclaimed authors working in the genre today, her books regularly receiving starred reviews and best-of-the-year honors from trade publications. She is also a two-time winner of Romance Writers of America’s prestigious RITA® Award.

On the young adult fantasy side, there isn’t much to say yet, as her debut book is not scheduled for publication until September 2013.

Sherry writes in her second language. She learned English by reading lots of romance and science fiction–every word Isaac Asimov ever wrote, in fact. She is proud to say that her son is her biggest fanboy–for the YA fantasy, not the romances. At least, not yet…
